Homemade cereal bars

Cereal bars are the perfect choice to ease our hunger or to quickly recharge ourselves. Homemade cereal bars are easy to make and you can add the ingredients that you love. They require zero effort and they are just delicious.


  • 1 teacup honey
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons peanut butter
  • 1 teacup rolled oats
  • 1 teacup coco pops
  • 1 teacup various nuts (i.e. almonds, peanuts, walnuts, etc.)
  • 1 teacup various seeds (i.e. sunflower, flaxseed, etc.)
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon


In a deep nonstick skillet, add the honey and the vanilla extract. Over medium heat, heat the honey until it becomes fluid and then add the peanut butter. If you do not like peanut butter, you could just omit it. Stir well until peanut butter is completely melted.

Meanwhile cover a square pan 20 x 20 cm with parchment paper.

Remove the skilelt from the heat and add all the remaining ingredients. Stir until they are well mixed. Spread the mixture into the square pan.

Allow the mixture to cool thoroughly (you could also put it in the refrigerator) until it is well set. After a few hours, remove from the pan and cut into bars. It yields 10 servings.


If you wish, you could replace part of the nuts with dried fruits.
