- 500 grams mezze penne
- 2 cans of SAFCOL squids in spicy sauce
- 400 grams grated tomatoes
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- 1 tablespoon thyme
- 1 tablespoon parsley
- 1/2 teacup olive oil
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
- 1 teacup water
- Salt, pepper
In a large, non-stick skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat and cook the garlic and the onion for 2 minutes.
Add the herbs, the tomatoes, the tomato paste and the water. Season with salt and pepper. Bring to boil and then reduce the heat to minimum. Simmer for 20-25 minutes.
In the meantime cook the pasta according to the packaging instructions.
When the sauce is ready, add the squids and the spicy sauce. Mix the ingredients well.
Serve the pasta with the tomato/squids sauce.
